PillsCard is a multilingual medical directory covering 42 languages and hundreds of thousands verified clinical and pharmacy listings across Europe and beyond. This page describes the editorial team and the content-review policy applied to country-level guides, city-level directory pages, and medical-content articles.

Who reviews PillsCard editorial content

Pharmacist credentialed at PharmD level, responsible for clinical-content review on PillsCard. Editorial review covers factual accuracy of drug, condition, and directory content; consistency with national regulator guidance (Polish Naczelna Izba Lekarska and GIF, German BfArM, UK MHRA, and equivalents in other markets); and detection of AI-generated content patterns that fail medical-directory quality standards.

Editorial review policy

Directory listings and country guides are reviewed against the following standards before publication:

Word count & depth: country-level guides require 1,200+ words of editorial content; city-level guides require 400+ words. Content below threshold is held out of indexable status until extended.
Regulator citation: at least one outbound link to the relevant national medicines or health regulator (e.g. Naczelna Izba Lekarska for Poland, BfArM for Germany, MHRA for the UK).
FAQ structure: 3–7 frequently-asked-questions per page covering at minimum: regulator licensing, NFZ / statutory-insurance scope, after-hours emergency care, and language-availability where applicable.
Disclaimer: every clinical page must include the phrase "not medical advice" indicating editorial purpose. Personal clinical decisions should be made with a licensed practitioner directly.
Anti-watermark check: content is scanned for zero-width Unicode characters (U+200B, U+FEFF) before publication. The DB-level CHECK constraint rejects insertion of any content containing these characters.
AI-slop detection: content is screened for the characteristic phrases of low-effort AI-generated content ("In conclusion", "It's important to note", "delve into", "navigate the complexities", "tapestry of") and rejected from auto-publish.

Directory content is built on data from multiple authoritative sources:

OpenStreetMap (clinic addresses, contact information, opening hours, accessibility metadata)
National medicines regulators(drug authorisation registers, licensed-practitioner registers, recall & safety notices)
National health-ministry directories (NFZ in Poland, NHS in the UK, statutory-insurance coverage definitions)
Public clinic price lists for typical-pricing ranges, sampled monthly across major Polish private clinics
Authoritative clinical references where relevant: FDA, EMA, WHO, NICE, BNF, AEMPS, AIFA, BfArM
