Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent belonging to the azole antifungal class with antibacterial properties. It is used for the topical treatment of fungal skin infections, such as athlete's foot and diaper dermatitis. In the form of vaginal tablets and creams, it is used for the treatment of vaginal candidiasis. Adverse effects may include local skin irritation or hypersensitivity reactions.
