This product accepted for registration as'currently supplied' at the time of commencement of the Act. Indications approved as specified in the letter of 15 April 1993 from Dr. H. Arora are as follows: For topical application in the treatment of dermatophyte infections of the skin: tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea manus, and tinea pedis due to Trichophyton rubrum, T. mentagrophytes, Microsporum canis, and Epidermophyton flocculosum; in the treatment of cutaneous candidiasis and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor. Nizoral is not indicated for infections involving the nails or hair. Nizoral cream is also indicated for treatment in adults with mild seborrhoeic dermatitis involving sites other than the scalp.
