Heparin - Indications, Dosage, Side Effects and Precautions

• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of heart problems, high blood pressure, menstrual problems, bleeding problems, ulcer, re‍‍‍‍‍‍​​​‍​​​​​​cent injury, blood disorder, liver or kidney disease, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding. • It may reduce platelet counts; avoid injury or bruising. • ♦ Patient may develop with increased risk of Heparin-induced Thrombocytopenia (HIT).
