Driving

As with other antihistamines, dimetindene may impair mental alertness in some patients. Accordingly, caution should be exercised when driving, operating machinery, or performing other tasks requiring a high level of alertness.
As with any other antihistamine, caution should be exercised when administering to patients with glaucoma, bladder neck obstruction (e.g. prostatic hypertrophy), or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
In young children, antihistamines may cause excitation.
