Vimpat (lacosamide) injection for intravenous infusion is indicated as:, monotherapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures with or without secondary
generalisation in patients with epilepsy aged 16 years and older., add-on therapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures with or without secondary
generalisation in patients with epilepsy aged 4 years and older., add-on therapy in the treatment of primary generalised tonic-clonic seizures in patients with
idiopathic generalised epilepsy aged 4 years and older.,Vimpat (lacosamide) injection for intravenous infusion is indicated when oral administration is
temporarily not feasible.
⚠️ Warnings
• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of sugar, nerve problems, liver, kidney impairment, who are on dialysis, mental illness, any allergy, who are taking other medications, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
• Monitor electrocardiogram (ECG), liver or kidney function regularly while taking this medication.
