Entecavir is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B virus infection in adults 16 years or older with evidence of active liver inflammation.,This indication is based on histologic, virologic, biochemical and serological responses in nucleoside-treatment naïve and lamivudine-resistant adult patients with HBeAg-positive or HBeAg-negative chronic HBV infection with compensated liver disease
⚠️ Warnings
• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of HIV infection, kidney , liver problems, obesity, any allergy, who are taking other medications, elderly, children, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
• During sexual intercourse life partner may develop with this infection, to avoid this problem consult with your doctor.
