Acidophilus & Psyllium Husk by Vitamin World is a dietary supplement. Psyllium, or Isabgol or ispaghula, is the common name used for several members of the plant genus Plantago whose seeds are used commercially for the production of mucilage. Psyllium is mainly used as a dietary fiber to relieve symptoms of both constipation and mild diarrhea, and occasionally as a food thickener. Allergy to psyllium is common in workers frequently exposed to the substance.

Fiber products can affect the absorption of many medications. Do not take this product within 2 hours of taking medications. WARNING: If you are pregnant, nursing or taking any medications, consult your doctor before use. Discontinue use and consult your doctor if any adverse reactions occur. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use if seal under cap is broken or missing. NOTICE: Take this product with at least 8 ounces of water or other fluid. Taking this product without adequate fluid may cause choking. Do not take this product if you have difficulty swallowing. If you experience chest pain, vomiting or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention. Do not take before bedtime.
