Decara High Potency Vitamin D 10,000 IU by Medecor Pharma is a dietary supplement in the vitamin category. Vitamin D is a group of structurally related, fat-soluble compounds responsible for increasing intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate, along with numerous other biological functions. In humans, the most important compounds within this group are vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) and vitamin D2 (ergocalciferol).

Blood levels of 25(OH) vitamin D3 should be monitored regularly when taking high-dose vitamin D3 supplements such as Decara. Warning: Toxic effects from excessive levels of vitamin D3 may include nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, dehydration, fatigue, irritability, confusion, weakness, or weight loss.
