DHA ONE Chewable Softgel Fruit Flavored by TriCare Prenatal is a dietary supplement in the omega fatty acid category. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega−3 fatty acid that is an important component of the human brain, cerebral cortex, skin, and retina. It is given the fatty acid notation 22:6(n−3). It can be synthesized from alpha-linolenic acid or obtained directly from maternal milk (breast milk), fatty fish, fish oil, or algae oil. The consumption of DHA (e.g., from fatty fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel and sardines) contributes to numerous physiological benefits, including cognition.

Warning: Ingestion of more than .3 grams of Omega-3 fatty acids (such as DHA) per day has been shown to have potential antithrombotic effects, including an increased bleeding time and International Normalized Ratio (INR). Contraindications: This product is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. Notice: Contact with moisture may product surface discoloration or erosion of the tablet and chewable softgel. Adverse reactions: Allergic sensitization has been reported following both oral and parenteral administration of folic acid.
