Adrenaline, also known asepinephrineand alternatively spelledadrenalin, is ahormoneandmedicationwhich is involved in regulating visceral functions (e.g., respiration).It appears as a white microcrystalline granule.Adrenaline is normally produced by theadrenal glandsand by a small number ofneuronsin themedulla oblongata.It plays an essential role in thefight-or-flight responseby increasing blood flow to muscles,heart outputby acting on theSA node,pupil dilation response, andblood sugar level.It does this by binding toalphaandbeta receptors.It is found in many animals, including humans, and somesingle-celled organisms.It has also been isolated from the plantScoparia dulcisfound inNorthern Vietnam.
⚠️ Warnings
•Caution needed for patients with history of heart diseases, thyroid disease, diabetes, Parkinson's disease, elderly, pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• If asthma worsens during the treatment, discontinue the treatment.
