Adults,Nplate is indicated for treatment of thrombocytopenia in adult patients with primary immune
thrombocytopenia (ITP) who are:, non-splenectomised and have had an inadequate response, or are intolerant, to corticosteroids and immunoglobulins;, splenectomised and have had an inadequate response to splenectomy.,Paediatrics,Nplate is indicated for treatment of thrombocytopenia in paediatric patients aged 1 year and older with primary immune thrombocytopenia ITP for at least 6 months who are:, non-splenectomised and have had an insufficient response, or are intolerant, to corticosteroids and immunoglobulins;, splenectomised and have had an inadequate response to splenectomy.
⚠️ Warnings
• Caution should be exercised in patients with history of kidney or liver impairment, bone marrow depression, blood cancer, (eg, myelodysplastic syndrome [MDS]), blood clotting or bleeding problems, heart attack, stroke, blood clots, who are taking other medications, any allergy, children, elderly, during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
• It may increase the risk of high platelet counts and blood clots; consult with your healthcare before taking this medication.
• Withdrawal of this medication may lead to increased risk of low platelet counts; avoid injury or bruising.
• It may cause dizziness, do not drive a car or operate machinery while taking this medication.
